Grant Awards – 2012

AnimalFAIR received a grant from the Ryan Newman Foundation to help us offset our increased cost to spay & neuter the animals prior to adoptions. With these grant funds it allows us to maintain our current adoption fees and run adoption fees specials to help place animals in loving homes.

About the Ryan Newman Foundation

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Ryan Newman and his wife, Krissie, established the Ryan Newman Foundation in January 2005. The mission of the foundation is to educate and encourage people to spay/neuter their pets and to adopt dogs and cats from animal shelters; to educate children and adults about the importance of conservation so the beauty of the great outdoors can be appreciated by future generations; and to provide college scholarship funding through the Rich Vogler Scholarship program to students interested in auto racing careers. The Ryan Newman Foundation is proud to be part of the NASCAR Foundation’s family of charities.

AnimalFAIR is so grateful to be a Petco Partner. We have been awarded a grant to help with our vehicle maintenance and repairs. With these grant funds we are able to keep our van running and keep the weekly adoption events going. We appreciate the ongoing support we get the Petco stores management and staff in Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs and Jefferson City Missouri.

The Mission of the Petco Foundation is to raise the quality of life for pets and people who love and need them. The four ways we fulfill this mission are by creating responsible pet owners, reducing the number of animal euthanized, rescuing animals in crisis and rehabilitating behavioral issues in pets.

We have been awarded grant funds from the I’m Pet Friendly spay & neuter program, which helped us to spay & neuter 50 animals. We are so appreciative to have been selected! Be sure to support this program by purchasing this license plate at your next renewal. This grant program administered by the Missouri Department of Agriculture helps humane societies, animal shelters and non-profit rescue groups provide low-cost spay and neuter services to their communities.

Your donations are greatly appreciated and will make a difference in the health care of dogs and cats across Missouri. For more information about the “I’m Pet Friendly” license plates visit http://mda.mo.gov/animals/health/petfriendly.php
